We all have people to buy gifts for that love wine, but how about going a step further and taking them to the source? British vineyards offer some wonderful experiences that make great gift ideas.

Tours & Tastings

There are hundreds of vineyards around the country now offering tours & tastings so you just need to narrow it down to a location that would suit your friends or family and see what kind of gift experiences are on offer. Search the vineyard finder for inspiration. When you visit individual websites you’ll usually find gift voucher options within the information on tours or in the online shop.

Woodchester Valley Vineyard in the Cotswolds, Denbies Wine Estate in Surrey and Llanerch in Wales are all great examples of vineyards offering a range of vouchers from a 1 person tour & tasting right up to overnight packages.

The Wine Garden of England in Kent has made it easy for you to buy vouchers that can be used across all 8 member vineyards and they offer money saving deals too.

Experience or dining vouchers

If you’re looking for something beyond a traditional tour, there’s sure to be a gift voucher to suit. How about sparkling afternoon tea at Tinwood Estate in Sussex or Crouch Ridge in Essex?

There’s also monetary vouchers available at some vineyards, like Balfor Winery in Kent, so the recipient can tailor their own experience.

Wine festival tickets

There are some fantastic wine festivals that take place around the country each summer bringing together vineyards from a region to showcase their wines all in one location. These events include food and live music for the complete festival vibe. Some of 2025’s events are already scheduled and tickets would make fantastic gifts. Find out more here.

Vine adoption

Vine adoption packages vary and are usually for a year. You’ll have something on the vine that identifies the ‘owner’ and it may include a tour, the opportunity to help with harvest and of course some wine.

Hencote and Kerry Vale Vineyard in Shropshire both have great vine adoption packages. You can also put your name to a Yorkshire vine at Yorkshire Heart or own a little piece of Welcombe Hills Vineyard in Shakespear’s Warwickshire. The Dell Vineyard in Monmouthshire's vine adoption package includes your name on a piece of Welsh slate.

Wine club membership

A growing number of vineyards offer wine club packages which often include access to the most sought after wines and events.

These memberships are the ultimate luxury gift for wine lovers. Digby Fine English, Rathfinny and Ridgeview (Decanter's Best UK Winery Wine Club) offer gift vouchers for their exclusive wine club subscriptions.

Whatever you choose I’m certain it won’t disappoint. Cheers to great gifting!
