How about celebrating Father’s Day in the vines with tasty food, delicious wines and maybe some live entertainment? Here’s 10 vineyards going all out to make Father’s Day on Sunday 15 June really special. But be quick as some of these need booking in advance and tickets are selling fast!
Father’s Day BBQ, Yorkshire Heart, Yorkshire – a delicious BBQ menu, live pianist and a complimentary beer or glass of wine for Dad’s – what a great afternoon line-up.
Father’s Day pizza, wine & beer on the lawn, Denbies Wine Estate, Surrey - enjoy homemade pizza accompanied by live music. you'll be able to sample Denbies wines alongside a selection of wines from the Surrey Hills Vineyards, and Surrey Hills Brewery beer will also be available at the tasting station
Father’s Day afternoon tea, Mereworth Wines, Kent – this family-friendly afternoon tea has options for everyone to enjoy and can be accompanied by a glass of award-winning sparkling wine or a pint of locally crafted beer.
Father’s Day Tacos at Westwell, Kent – T’s Tacos will be serving up delicious Baja Californian- inspired Mexican food to enjoy alongside wine and outdoor garden games.
Father's Day at Yotes Court Vineyard, Kent - enjoy a laid-back celebration in the rustic wine barn or paddock lawn. If you order any of their platters, including a special Father's Day ploughmans - Dads will receive a complimentary glass of their pinot noir reserve.
Father's Day lunch, Balfour Winery, Kent - treat Dad to lunch in the Winemakers Kitchen at the heart of the estate. There's a delicious A La Carte menu including Sunday roast with all the trimmings. You could also grab a map and do a self-guided tour.
Father’s Day Slowdown Sunday, Saffron Grange, Essex – there will be incredible wood-fired BBQ food from Smokewood Catering (pre-order to avoid disappointment). Grab a drink from the tasting room and soak up the atmosphere.
Vibes at the Vineyard, Crouch Ridge, Essex - The Allykats play live music, there’s small plates and boards available and the wine bar is open. The terrace and picnic benches are available or bring your own chairs and blankets.
Flint Sundays, Flint Vineyard, Norfolk – the monthly chilled out Sunday afternoon event falls on Father’s Day and in addition to the usual acoustic music, chilled DJ sets and local street food, there’s also an Artisan Fayre. You can enjoy Flint wines by the glass alongside Ampersand beer and unwind in the barn or vineyard garden.
Father’s Day Lunch, Knightor Winery, Cornwall - enjoy handmade breads, small plates of char-grilled vegetables and larger plates slow-cooked meats perfect for sharing. If the weather is good you can enjoy al fresco tables in the winery courtyard.
