Good connections from Chester city centre with buses every 15 minutes (Backford Church bus stop is approx 50m from the vineyard entrance). Get the No. 1 : Chester Railway Station to Liverpool, X1: Chester Bus Interchange to Liverpool, 22A: Chester Bus Interchange to Ellesmere Port. If you fancy walking or cycling there are direct routes on paved roads or a longer scenic route from the centre of Chester along the Shropshire Union canal exiting at Backford Bridge (bridge no 133).
