The Rutland Vineyard
vineyard main image
The Rutland Vineyard is situated just outside the village of Ketton, near the market town of Stamford, Lincolnshire. It's nicknamed 'the dinosaur vineyard' due to the Jurassic soil and the Rutland dinosaur find nearby. The vineyard is usually open Wed - Sat (check the website first). Visitors can taste the wines and purchase cakes from The Rutland Chef or cheese sharing platters. Seasonal guided tours and tastings take place on Friday evenings and there's a self-guided walking track around the vineyard where visitors can spot six animals that inhabit the area.
