Vranken-Pommery Monopole was the first Champagne House to plant vines in England, selecting premium parcels of land on the extraordinary Hampshire chalk downlands. The award-winning traditional method sparkling wines produced here are elegant, finessed and proudly English.
We were led through the stunning vineyards, with 360 degree views, by the head winemaker Will Perkins who grew up locally and is passionate about producing quality wines in harmony with nature. Back in the historic Pinglestone Barn we enjoyed the guided tasting (including an unreleased wine). The combinatioin of such an established brand and such a personal tour was a great treat.
